Local motorcycle transfers to Mâm Xôi Hill, hot-spring bathing, performances, Then singing, salmon catching and mountain walks require separate cost confirmation. Sơn Tra blossoms usually appear in March–April; rice-field scenery changes with the season.
Mâm Xôi Hill in Hán Xung village is known for its rounded layers of rice terraces. The road is narrow and steep. Visitors can hire a local motorcycle taxi or motorcycle, with the group guide accompanying them; vehicle hire is at your own expense.
The Horseshoe terraces are in Sáng Nhù village, around 2 km from central Mù Cang Chải. Their distinctive curves make this a stop for sunset views and photographs during the ripe-rice season.
Sơn Tra, also known as táo mèo, is usually in full bloom from late March to mid-April. White flowers cover the mountainsides. Explore the village, photograph the blossoms and visit the flower festival when dates coincide. Costume hire and photography can be arranged at your own expense.
